The impact of Olivium on Long Covid sufferers in a Study

A significant proportion of individuals who have contracted COVID-19 experience prolonged symptoms of fatigue, extreme tiredness and various other symptoms that persist beyond the acute phase of the disease.

This phenomenon has been referred to as post-COVID syndrome. Despite the ongoing research, the precise mechanisms by which the virus leads to prolonged illness remains unclear. The objective of this review is to synthesize existing literature on post-COVID syndrome with a specific focus on the etiological basis and the potential of nutritional interventions, specifically food supplements, in mitigating, alleviating or relieving associated symptoms such as chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders and persistent inflammatory reactions.

Naturally-occurring food supplements, including acetyl L-carnitine, hydroxytyrosol, and vitamins B, C and D, have been identified as potentially promising interventions in the management of post-COVID syndrome. To further explore this potential, a pilot observational study was conducted to evaluate the effect of a food supplement containing hydroxytyrosol, acetyl L-carnitine, and vitamins B, C and D on perceived fatigue in patients who have recovered from COVID-19 but continue to experience chronic fatigue associated with post-COVID syndrome.
